Our History

Established in 1987 in the quaint town of Delcambre by Larry Sims, Wayne Sims, Mike Sims, and Jon Floyd, the 40,000 square foot facility employs 65 people and is one of the largest shrimp processors in the country. What started out as a dream has now become a legacy. Family owned for 21 years Jon’s brother, Jeff Floyd, runs and operates the family business. Gulf Crown has the capabilities to process over 200,000 lbs of shrimp per day and has become one of the largest SQF and USDC certified processing plants on the Gulf Coast.
